Ability
Description
Everybody knows what it means,so I bet there is no need to explain it in detail.
This ability determines slam (dunk) rate. Generally, if the player’s Jump attribute is 20 points or above and he is 178cm high or above, he can make a dunk. At the same time, this attribute is a useful for PF and C to fight for a rebound.
This attribute is a vague concept. For example, C stands under the rim and uses A skill when G is making a lay-up facing C, if C doesn’t attempt to block the shot, believe it or not there must be 50% of chance that G will miss the shot. But if G stands under the rim and uses A skill when C is making a lay-up facing G, there must be 70-80% of chance that C will score.
When a player throws the ball to a teammate. Many people ignore this attribute. But actually, this attribute determines the ball passing speed and the accuracy of passing. You see when PG passes a ball, even if the receiver runs about aimlessly, the ball will turn and pass into his hands. However, if the opponent is a G with high stealing ability, that’s a horse of another color. And when C passes the ball, even if the receiver just runs away a little, the ball will be stolen by an opponent easily. That’s because of the difference of passing attribute.
The act of bouncing the ball up and down. The offensive player with the ball uses the dribble to move around the court. This attribute has a close relation with steal attribute. This attribute has another feature that when C who dribbles a ball low is face to face by an opponent, he will lose the ball easily. However, if G, especially PG, dribbles a ball high, we can’t say he’ll never loose a ball, but he won’t loose a ball at least 70-80% percent of chance.
Securing the ball off the backboard or the rim after a missed field goal or free-throw attempt. It is a major attribute of C and also the key attribute which determines whether the team will win or lose. This is like a circle of which C is the center.
This attribute determines the success rate of blocking. Of course, it is also restricted by Jump attribute and height element. Even if they jump not at the best time, those who have high blocking attribute can block a shot. Instead, if the players who are short, like G, and with low blocking ability, even if they jump at the time when C makes a lay-up, it’s likely that they will miss the blocking (of course, I’m not disdaining G)
It determines the accuracy of stealing and the frequency of shooting. I’ll save my breath on this attribute because everyone knows it well.
Shooting within the 3-point line with both feet above the ground. High perimeter shooting, of course, means high field goal percentage. As how to increase field goal percentage, you’d better ask those who are a crack hand at SF.
This SG’s special skill. Similar to middle range shooting attribute, it determines field goal percentage. It is worth mentioning that high level SG (at least level 30), if there is no defendant around, his field goal percentage is really amazing.
Some people say this attribute determines the rate of dunk. It is not so at all. It determines the blocking rate and field goal percentage. At the same time, not being blocked doesn’t equal to a successful dunk. Sometimes, even if there is no defense, one will miss a dunk. I believe a number of people must know about this. So personally, I think although C doesn’t dunk as frequently as PF, Center’s success rate is higher than PF.
Shooting within the 3-point line with both feet on the ground. This attribute determines field goal percentage. Some people would say anyone can shoot when he is under the rim. But that’s when there is no interference.
