Brief Tricks to Success in FREESTYLE
Guards are the easiest to train as they get a lot of points if you`re good with it.
Note: I suggest starting with 1 VS1 to start off until lv 5 then play 2 VS 2
- Centre are slow to play with in 1 VS 1 especially against guards because they are slow so I suggest playing 2 VS 2 straight away
- Forward are in the middle of centre and guards. Naturally, they are easiest to train out of all. Forwards can do all kinds of shots and that is why.
- I think if you want to start off to get some points and get used to the game become a forward as they are easiest to control
- Guards don`t always have to shoot 3 pointers. They are great at stealing so don`t waste that advantage
- Never underestimate centres even though they cannot promote at lv 15. Centres are better than forwards.
- Forwards generally shoot 2 pointers and lay up, don`t try 3s unless it`s really desperate.
I think that guards own centres, forwards own guards and centres own forwards.
General Roles in FREESTYLE
Guards:
1 VS 1: Try your best to shoot 3 pointers and steal your opponent`s balls straight off and keep on shooting to do ownage.
2 VS 2: Defend 1 opponent by staying close to him to try to intercept the ball. Your team mate if they are smart enough will try get rebounds if you miss and pass it back to you so don`t move around too much when they get the rebound so you won`t get intercepted. If you`re too heavily defended just let them score.
Centres:
1 VS 1 : Don`t do 1 VS 1 because you`re likely to meet guards or forwards which are a menace since centres are generally slow and cant chase. But, if you do want to play, try blocking them instead of stealing since stealing for centres are really bad.
2 VS 2: 2 VS 2 for centres is the best because they are the most important. Centres aim to get rebounds if your team mate misses. Generally centres are better than forwards in rebounds as they are taller and made for rebounds. You just need the timing. They are also good at dunks and lay ups.
Forwards:
1 VS 1: Try to defend your opponent heavily by following them and giving pressure. When gaming with a guard, try to block them. When gaming with a centre, try stealing or slowing them to steal down by pressing "w"key.
2 VS 2: When doing 2 VS 2, forwards are quite good at middle shots and lay ups. Blocking guards is useful here as they are the main scorers. Also, skills such as the ally hoop are useful if your team mate misses.
3 VS 3: 3 VS 3 is a great way to enjoy the game. Try to balance the game by having all types of classes. A simple rule to 3 VS 3 is to pass regularly because you will lose the ball if you got it for too long. Again, guard shoot 3s and steal, centres get those rebounds and shoot close range if needed and forward assist your guards and shoot middle shots.
